Thinking about upgrading...

Hello all..

I have the old 2g iPhone that came out years ago, and I am really tempted to upgrade to the 3Gs...

Is it worth it or shall I wait for the next generation which is bound to be much better?

The 3GS is the first phone that actually makes full on sense to upgrade. I've been with an iphone since the day they were first sold in 2007 and recently dropped $1200 for (2) 32gb 3GS phones just because they were that much better than my 16gb 3G phones I already had.

Don't count the upgrades, don't worry about anything, just go do it and you'll be glad you did. The EXPERIENCE of using the phone with it being so much faster, nicer, and feature packed makes the whole package "the Apple Experience" that I'd been missing in previous models.

It's faster, it's nicer, it's bigger, it's badder. It was worth every dime of the $600 I spent per phone and I don't regret it and I had the 3G phones........ much less you with the 1st gen. It's the whole experience that makes it. Did you know the phone is coated with a formula that makes it fingerprint free? That's a huge plus in user experience........ not having to wipe the phone every ten minutes. Just tons of things like that.

Still not too sure yet. I wouldn't be getting the full priced one for unlocking, just the discounted one for staying with ATT.. just wish they would turn on MMS services already.. hehe

^Honestly, it is worth the upgrade. I came from a 2G phone as well and the increase in power and speed is beastly, among all the other new features. Go for it, man!

phone isn't going to morph into a fighter jet just because they turn on MMS. Either buy the damn thing or don't.
