SBsettings and Winterboard go without saying. I would say BiteSMS and Snapture are a must. One of the Themes I like and think is cool is Dinozambas.

you would want iRealQuickSMS because it allows you to send and reply to sms messeges within any app without closing that app. Example- you're on safari and a text come in, pop box pops up and you can quickly reply without going to the sms app and closing safari

Looks like you need Winterboard for that. I actually prefer my phone to look stock.

True. Having winterboard doesn't mean that your phone can't look stock. It would allow you to tweak just about anything visually though, including making your own icons for apps or webclips.
And you can get iReal Quick SMS for the "text in any app/quick reply" funcion. It keeps the stock Apple Messages app, with the added functions.
And the Orbz theme is a must.
Please go to the Orbz icon page before posting an icon request here. This site contains all of the latest icons, and the most up to date icon folders. If you can't find it there, then please post the original icon with your request.
And check out the links below for more goodies.

This is the one I downloaded. I'm new to this and have not used any other one.
