email notification
is there anyway to make emails make the phone light up and notify u when the phone is in sleep, like text message does..

not found anything yet. i've been looking for same thing.
closest i've got is the notify that puts an icon on the status bar. only problem with this is it doesn't "highlight" it. just the basic vibration then the symbol if you decide to check your screen.Being an i can be a lot of pressure. you have to live right up to the small point.

Well how do I do that? It's better than what I have now.
And I have iPhone 3g 3.0
any clue if it works on there?

Same as what OP stated. I'm constantly getting emails from my school or bosses etc. If anyone finds something like this it would be greatly appreciated.

Thinking out loud here.......
From what I have read, Yahoo mail has push available.
So if you had your mail forwarded to Yahoo, and than you installed something like Notifier........................
