Warranty question with jailbroken phone

my earpiece on the phone is crapping out on me. when the volume is high the voice gets really creaky, Then it just quit working. So I cleaned the aux port and it started to work for a minute but now the earpiece is dead again.

Soooo I have an apt at the apple store to get my phone looked at or replaced. (It is under warranty and jailbroken on T Mobile.)

Will I need to restore it back to AT&T or will apple just do it.

You need to find a friend on AT&T, as Apple is going to want to test it.

Other than that, make you you restore it, and if you have a 2G, use BootNeuter to relock the baseband.

im running os 3.0 on a 3G phone. most of my friends are on TMobile. Can I just take it in w/out a SIM and let them try it with one of theirs.
