no wifi ? unlocked 2G 3.0firmware T-Mobile
hello all first post here, ive been learking around for a few months ready and learning. I finally made the switch from my blackberry pearl to the iphone and LOVE it!
I unlocked my 2G iPhone using Redsnow and 3.0 firmware [thankyou]
My Tmobile sim works, can make recieve calls texts voicemails just having some issues with my wifi. I dont have a data plan other than unlimited text's so I would count on the free wifi for my email and web surfing. any app or fix to get my wifi working.
some more info to save time.
yes I have a connection where I am trying to connect, my apt. the connection doesnt show, i've tried reset network settings and power down the router and back on, turning off my laptop which is on the wireless network , thought maybe it was getting the majority of the signal but nothing. so just need your guys help to solve this problem, if I can't I guess ill get a data plan from tmobile but would rather have the wifi as well.
thanks again i know you guys will come through.
anyone know how to fix the no wifi issue im having.
iphone 2G with 3.0 firmware unlocked and using Tmobile service.

The Problem
I Have Absolutely Positively Found What The Wifi Problem Is With The 2G iPhones. The Battery!. When The Battery Life Has Dropped. Wifi Will Not Work If Your Battery Life Is Higher? Than 50% I Thought This Was B.S. Until I Tried It. If You Have An Actual App That Allows You To See Your Battery Percentage, It's Been Proven. I Charged My Battery To Full Power Just To Put What I Found Out To Test. My Battery Was At 90%. My Wifi Went In An Out Constantly, Never Staying On More Than 10sec. The Second It Hit 50% Wifi Came Back Instantly, Never Disappearing Again.
So What's Been Happening Is When You Restore It, It Resets Your iPhone Momentarily. But As Soon As That Extra Boost Of Battery Life Goes Away....Back To The Same Ole Wifiless iPhone.
Basicly, Time To Get A New Battery Guys. They Run About $89.00 Either Shipping It To Apple Or Going To The Genius Bar. No Need To Buy A New iPhone. This Is The Real Problem.
Hope I Help Eveyone Out There Looking For An Answer.
