Master reset bricked after success redsn0w 3.0

Hi

I successfully upgraded my 2g iPhone to 3.0 using redsn0w. Used master reset on phone (to give to my son), master reset seemed to hang - after 40 min (maybe I was impatient) I did a force shut down.

On restart phone gets no further than apple logo.

I tried using redsn0w again, PC recogises DFU devise but redsn0w tells me I may be pressing buttons in incorrect sequence and will not run any further.

Now when i try to start phone I do not even get any apple logo.

I have not tried anything else yet.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Reset all settings did the same thing to me on my 3G[S]. You will need to do a full restore first before re-running redsn0w.

Restore worked OK but I had to put into dfu mode first.
