I just restored with .8 redsn0w on 3.0 and Big Boss repo is not under the sources. I also checked his site and the apt won't load. Anyone have info?

Yeah, it's down. I just restored, too. Wanted to see if using purplera1n was better than redsn0w for my battery issues. Can't install anything from Cydia now. Should be back up soon (I hope).

Check iPhone News, Help and Guides to see when it's back up. Cydia apps from the repo load in the left hand frame.

The actual process of jailbreaking has nothing to do with battery life. Jailbreaking allows us to have root access... nothing more.
