Hello all,

I have an iPhone 2G to which all I have done is install the push notifications hack that the Dev Team has put forth. It seems as if my phone loses service periodically, as it will go to "Searching" and then come back with service normally. Also, it seems as if my internet is running slower than it used to run. I do have a MobileMe account that is synchronized with the phone, and it is running on T-Mobile. Has anyone had similar problems, and if so, have you been able to rectify them?

I recently experienced a similar set of problems with slow internet speeds and dropped service. It may be that your sim card needs to be replaced. Call T-Mo (they are iPhone friendly and will help you get a new card for free), then go to a t-mo store and get them to hook you up. After I got my new sim, my speeds are up higher than ever (my sim was 9 years old!!) and I've gotten reception in places that I've never gotten reception before!

This may not be the solution to your problems, but its worth a shot!
