iphone 3G wifi antenna

I'm going to apologize in advance, but I've searched everywhere, and any assistance would be GREATLY appreciated especially since I don't even know if I'm wording this correctly.

I'm trying to use my iPhone 3G (jailbroken running 3.0) as a 'wifi antenna'. Basically, the simplest way I know how to word it is that I want to plug my iPhone in via USB and use it as a wireless network card.
I found something saying that iPhone Tunnel Suite will do that for me, but I may just be retarded, but I can't find a version that supports 3.0
