Sending pictures with text messages
So you're suppose to be able to send pics with text messages now with the new 3.0 firmware on the 3gs. I picked up the new 3gs, and perhaps i am just a retard, but I can't see where I can attach or send a picture anywhere. Even if i look at a picture in my reel and click details. I can either send it in an email or delete it. If i am writing a text message I dont have the button to add a picture as the instruction manual suggests.
what am i doing wrong?

I believe they've started initiating the opt-in MMS codes now, so hopefully it'll be sometime soon. Patience son.

It is ridiculous that they want to even think of charging for this on top of the data package.

mms is actually tied into sms... not data
can't imagine why it would be different for the iphone unless filesize is a factor.

Well I was at AT&T today helping a girl buy a new phone and in the iPhone section they had this iPhone demonstration thing going on on a iPhone shaped TV and it spent a good 5 minutes showing off the MMS. I just HAD to make a really sarcastic remark about that so the workers could hear me.

got the 3GS two weeks ago and unlike the demo video on Apple, where you just open a pic, and choose to send as MMS, the fine print actually says (MMS service available late summer).
Cydia and the App Store have various send-MMS apps, most free.
