How to stop ipod autoplaying when you stick headphones in on iphone 3g?

Doing my nut in!!
Every time i stick the headphones in the ipod will begin to play. It is getting very annoying as most of the time I will be sticking the headphones in to listen to wunderadio or MLB-at Bat or so on - but it gets overidden as soon as i pop the headphones in and then i have to scroll all the way to the ipod to go turn it off........there must be a way to stop this? tried checking the settings, but no joy! any ideas??

good question. my question is, when i've been listening to my music and stop it and pull out my headphones, the song will start playing through iphone's speaker. very annoying...

yep ive had that too! and it happened at work haha, came on very loudly and i got rumbled by my boss....

anyone got any ideas how to fix this?
