2933632% of battery remaining

Hey guys, looks like Apple accidentally slipped a prototype battery in my 3GS!

Maybe it's nuclear powered?

First time I've seen this bug, but it happened when I plugged the cable in at EXACTLY the same time as the 20% warning appeared, then the above message came up instead of "20% of battery remaining". Anyone else seen this before?

Yep, it happens when you edit SpringBoard.strings and it messed up the battery string for it. It's happened to me before on my 2G iPhone. I fixed it on my iPhone after I decoded the strings and edited the decoded 3.0 version. I posted the decoded strings on ModMyi in the downloads section:

Looked there... No good. I have searched high & low for the springboard.string to fix it & cant seem to find it. Anyone PLEASE? Thanks.

were do i put the mod strings? i DL it but have no clue to were to put it..im on 3GS..

I have no idea where to put it on a 3GS but I can tell you where it goes on my 2G. Maybe after playing around that area for a bit you can find it.

They go in "/System/Library/CoreServices/SpringBoard.app/English.lproj"

Edit: Maybe if you want to buy me a 3GS and give it to me, I could find where it goes.
