new sms thread dial pad gone?

has anyone noticed that on FW 3.0 when u create a new sms threat.. instead of using the contacts u dial a number.. but instead of a dial pad showing up (as in it did in 2.2.1) the regular keyboard with numbers shows up?

maybe im late on this new update already?

but it bothers me lol, any way to change it back to the dial pad?

Mine still shows the dial pad, maybe you might have to restore 3.0 or somthin or your not doing it right.
