Hellp 2g iphone no signal

HI All , i have a 2g iphone which i upgraded to 3.0 . i used redsnow and ultrasnow to unlock jailbreak/unlock . i want to use an AT&T sim card and i get no service or i get it to come up but i have no signal bars . ive restored a number of times repeated the process it goes with out a hitch. i have wifi . i want to be able to use any sim ie..AT&T or tmobile. your help is appreciated .

Ultrasn0w is for the 3G phone only. Unlock with 2g with redsnow is whether you've checked to box to unlock or not.
Ultrasnow may be part of your problem. Delete and reboot your phone, see if that helps. If not you may want to restore and jailbreak again to see if that cures it.

ive tried that and it still does not work . i do get At&t but no bars for signal . what else can i do ?

Have you found a solution to this yet? I've had this issue for almost a month now. Really need to find out from someone who has fixed this.
