3G 8gb Iphone. Did a full reset today. Took some time but after the reset the phone will not shut off. In fact, its stuck at the Apple logo with the circular progress spinning wheel over the bottom section of the apple logo but it is not moving, its solid lit up. The phone will not hard reset. The display has a low glow indicating its powered up. If I hold the home and power button down the logo dissapears, do it again, it appears. Itunes will not recognize it so restore is not an option at this point.

I feel if I could get it to reset it could recover. Just wont respond to any inputs.

Put it in DFU and restore as new from there, hopefully you have everything backed up.
