2G iphone - slow sms, slow...slow....zzz...zzz...

I have an jailbroken 2G iphone, I open SMS and it takes forever, even switching between apps, contacts, takes quite a bit.

How can I make it faster or would the 3G be better?

I restored it now 3 times and it's always fast right after restore, even jailbroken with winterboard and SBS and everything.

A couple days later, it will slow down again, it feels the more I text and the more calls etc I have the slower it gets.

I have the same problem. Maybe it is time for a 3GS.

Go to 3.0? I've heard it's a bit better...

The 3GS is awesome, though. It is a lot faster...
