Default EDGE NOT turning off with SBSettings: 2G, 3.0

I'll say rigght away that i read this article here: SBSettings EDGE toggle iPhone | iPhone News, Help and Guides

and no, my edge still does not turn off completely on my iPhone 2G on 3.0

I also turned off push email and a couple KB still get through onto the phone and i still hear that cellphone-beside-a-speaker noise meaning that my iPhone is transfering something.

Is there another way to turn this off because my carrier charges $0.30 per KB!

    thanks

Yes. You can change your APN settings and this will guarantee you not to be able to make a data connection. Download APN editing from Cydia.

Hmm yes, I read and forgot about that. Thanks

They should fix it anyways tho. It worked fine in 2.x

I can easily call them and tell them to block my data but I keep it just in case I need it in an uber emergency or something

EDIT: I get errors installing the APN Editing package

File not found at path AllowEDGEEEditing
No key or keypath to set value

im thinking this package does not work for 3.0 ?
