EDGE NOT turning off with SBSettings: 2G, 3.0
I'll say rigght away that i read this article here: SBSettings EDGE toggle iPhone | iPhone News, Help and Guides
and no, my edge still does not turn off completely on my iPhone 2G on 3.0
I also turned off push email and a couple KB still get through onto the phone and i still hear that cellphone-beside-a-speaker noise meaning that my iPhone is transfering something.
Is there another way to turn this off because my carrier charges $0.30 per KB!
thanks

Yes. You can change your APN settings and this will guarantee you not to be able to make a data connection. Download APN editing from Cydia.

Hmm yes, I read and forgot about that. Thanks

They should fix it anyways tho. It worked fine in 2.x
I can easily call them and tell them to block my data but I keep it just in case I need it in an uber emergency or something
EDIT: I get errors installing the APN Editing package
File not found at path AllowEDGEEEditing
No key or keypath to set value
im thinking this package does not work for 3.0 ?Last edited by DaMan05; 07-01-2009 at 09:48 PM. Reason: Automerged Doublepost

I had the same problem, just get the Fake APN toggle for sbs setting and it should do the trick...
