hey guys can someone help me when i plug my iphone into the comp for rockmyphone it says i have to do a soft unlock will this make me lose all my apps and start fresh im running iphone 3g 3.0
Well, I cant speak from personal experience with "rockyourphone", but if their "soft unlock" is anything like yellowsn0w or ultrasn0w, it shouldn't wipe your phone and make you start anew.

Nah man, it only installs their software and some extensions, nothing to worry about about losing info or something, is just extra software (maybe if something goes wrong you'll have to restore and re-jailbreak again) but I have it in a 2G iPhone with 3.0 jailbreaked FW and is running nice, also all my apps like Winterboard, Cydia, AppStore games and all, I would give it a shot, in the desktop client gives you all the instructions, even with screen shots, hope this helps you to choose, good day.
