Having problems sending MMS and SMS

I'm having a problem with my SMS and MMS after installing ActivateMMS2g from cydia.

Here are my problems as follows:

Here are my settings


FYI: I've been using these settings but for some reason, they're not sticking.
1. APN: wap.cingular
2. User: [email protected]
3. Pw: CINGULAR1
4. MMSC: mmsc.cingular.com
5. Proxy: 66.209.11.32

could that be the problem?

I've tried the SSH fix, nope. Restart Method, nope. Can't downloaded the APN Editing via Cydia because the Cellular Data is showing in Settings.

*NOTE: Cellular Data and Visual Voicemail APN, usrnam, and pw are saving

Upadate: After going to help.benm.at and installing a custom profile, it still didn't work.

try putting in your settings again and then reboot device. There are a bunch of threads on this already.

just so you know, i'm not a noob at forums, i know how to use search. however all the methods and remedy's i've used from other forums don't seem to work.

a little update. i can get the sms working, but the mms settings still arent saving.

yeah im having the same problem... Im on a 3GS with att carrier 5.0

update. after going to help.benm.at and installing a custom profile, i can get the APN to save, but the username and pword are still blank

Basically, I was in the same position as you all. Was tinkering about and looking through my rss feeds when I came across unlockit.nz. I'm on a 1G phone so tried to connect through edge. As soon as I started going to the site a new mms message popped up that I sent from my wifes phone yesterday. I think either edge or 3G needs to be on for this to work. I never got it working across wifi. Maybe this is just fluke but i've sent a few too. Try putting edge on and then sending a mms. PS, I don't know how much it costs to use this through edge. If you leave edge on all the time do you get charged more or just when you send mms/browse web.

I have the modified ipcc installed, and my settings have stuck. Question is why isn't it working?



Another question I have that I don't think that I've seen in any other thread is that are 3G's 3.0 capable of receiving MMS without and mods? or will it just result in message failure? Because I can receive emoticons, which is basically the same thing.

well i have the 3g 3.0 os with 16gb iphone.

i did the ipcc change and now i have the att 5.0 apn settings

i put everything in like everyone else. however my message gets stuck at aroud 95% then i get a send fail.


ive been reading all the forums and it seems like there is not fix yet and we have to wait tell att lets us do MMS

How are you all getting the cellular data screen?

You need to install the IPCC file (carrier settings file) which you can get from this link:

That should give you the screen we're talking about.

I noticed you're using the cydia package to activate MMS since you have a 2G iphone. I on the other hand have a 3G but did use your settings and still get the freaking red "!" at about 95 percent LOL

To make it really clear

At&T is my service
3g phone
16gb
new 3.0 update from i tunes
unlocked phone with pwonage
installed the ATT_US.ipcc file through itunes



I get the little camera put when trying to send it gets stuck at 95%

i put in all the apn settings rebooted phone and it still wont work.....I think ATT just has it blocked somehow. i dont want to do the call them up and tell them i have a diff phone then put the sim back in my iphone....
