Buying + Selling iPhone
Which is the best way to do this?
I have an upgrade on a line available and have already used mine to get my 3GS.
Buy it at ATT Online and then sell it on for around $500-600
or
Buy it at Apple Store and then sell it?
I mean i will sell the phone and keep the line (will cancel date by lost phone or something)
but which way should i do it?
If i buy it online would i have to activate first before i say the phone is lost or stolen?
thank you.

Just buy it at the Apple Store, if they've got them in stock, then sell it. Call AT&T then tell them you want to switch phones or something so they take the $30 data plan off the line.
It would be the same either way, because you have to activate the phone at the Apple store as well, you just will get it quicker.
If your local store doesn't have anymore in stock (which you can check now online : iPhone Availability) then order it from apple.com or att.com/wireless.
Either way it's going to work out the same, you just need to make sure they take that data plan off the line once you activate it.16GB iPhone 3G S⃣ White

Your either buy the phone for full retail $700 or sign a contract for less.
If you sign a contract then cancel it you get an early termination fee of like $175. Hardly worth the trouble in my opinion.
PS- Apple/ATT has thought of all the ways you could possibly screw them. Theres about 100 threads about this on here.

I bought my 3G *unlocked* from Australia (on ebay) 'cause they have a law that they have to sell phones unlocked (you get charged unlocking fees.) I mean yeah, you get a phone from ATT and pay the contract cancel thing, it still comes out cheaper but it's still locked. Makes life a lil more difficult, I guess.
But there's a market out there for those who *want it now!*
So you're probably okay.
