Who really cares about flash?
Just read on engadget that flash is coming to windows mobile, palm webOS, and android. But NOT the iphone.. I was like WTF at first but then i realized.. I would have no use for flash on my phone.. I don't even use flash hardly ever on my computer.. the only real benefit i could see from having flash on my phone would be seeing more stupid advertisements while online..
What do you think?-Eric

First off, it's Flash 10 that's coming.

There are a number of sites that are built entirely out of Flash. I ABSOLUTELY hate that, but obviously one can't access them on an iPhone. Several sites have legit features built in Flash (ie. Dell's support page). And, as a web designer, it's frustrating to be limited when building iPhone optimized sites, due to the lack of Flash support.
Apple's big issue with Flash is that it drains the battery quickly, due to its high CPU usage. Apple needs to allow Flash and give the user the option to enable/disable it. Adobe had an iPhone version of Flash 9 ready ages ago.

I wish they would get rid of Flash. As a matter of fact I have it blocked in Firefox.
Unfortunately Adobe has its hooks in deep on this one and if Silverlight doesn't get off of its butt to do something then we are stuck with it. Flash looks cool and all, but it is a resource hog and pages load much more quickly without it.

Flash is a beast, isn't it? Flash should accent the site, not be built in it. Flash does have its uses. The rule of thumb with Flash is: "Less is More!"

Flash provides companies additional marketing and advertising capabilities.
I can (and do) live without it.

This poll is so predictable

I consider, from a developer perspective, sites using flash for primary functions just a product of lazyass thinking.

Well, I'm not going to sit at home and browse the internet on my iPhone for 5 hours. I just use it for a quick look when I'm out and not around.

flash would be cool, it always sucks when going to a page that is entirely flash and I can't see anything because of it. But I heard rumors that the next iphone might have a dual processor, that runs cooler, and more efficiently, maybe then we'll see some flash

I'd like it, but I can wait. I don't want it if I can't turn it off and on. I'd keep it off normally, and only turn it on when I needed it.
