my jailbroken 3g w/ 3.0 is stuck in the boot cycle

i used red snow to jailbreak my 3g w/ the 3.0 firmware and all was great, but a day or 2 later i logged into cydia and it said that i had some updates (some cydia stuff and an sbsettings update) so i clicked the complete update button and waited. afterwards it had to reboot and ever since has been stuck on the apple logo. this normally wouldnt be a problem...but itunes cant see my phone and my home button has recently gone out so i cant get into recovery mode to restore it (that i know of). so i am now at the mercy of everyone who knows more about iphones than me. if anyone has any suggestions i would be grateful because until its fixed i am without a phone. thanks.

Hey I had the same problem but my home button is NOT broken. I tried re jailbreaking it, everything goes fine until the reboot. I had it working the first time i did it, and i also installed updates from cydia and it crashed. PLEASE, ANYONE I NEED HELP!!!

try unjailbreaking it then rejailbreaking it. do a full system restore on the phone to an official firmware then jailbreak.
