Well, I was checking out some new apps that used peer-to-peer bluetooth, and found out that many were only avaiable for the iPhone 3G and up. One application specifically said that peer-to-peer was not possible via bluetooth on the first generation iPhone. Can anyone confirm whether peer-to-peer via bluetooth is going to be impossible on 2G phones, or whether there will be certain updates that will allow bluetooth peer-to-peer on the first generation phones?
I know right now, my wife and I cannot play games against each other p2p. Her bluetooth options are greyed out. She has the 2g and i have a 3g...i wish apple would have mentioned that, i mean, we know about the MMS not working on the 2g (even though some people hacked it to work otherwise) but come on!!! We can't get her a 3g w/o penalties until December...
