No MMS Icon in Text Message App On My 3G 3.0?

on my 3G (t-mobile usa) i just redsn0w'd and ultrasn0w'd with no problems.
then i followed these instructions for MMS and Tethering:

the problem is that there is no camera icon in my text message app to add a picture! how is that possible that i'm missing this?

put that instead and reboot your phone then check

thanks. after several reboots, the camera icon finally appeared.
thanks for pointing out the proxy setting. they have it wrong on the tutorial i posted above too.

I am having the same problem too. I just edited my settings and am rebooting...

Done tried this numerous times but still no icon. Just curious if the sim needs to be in the phone while doing these settings?
