what firmware are you on? bootloader?
check out Ziphone, it activates, jailbreaks, unlocks your iphone easily. but read about it first because if you're on BL 4.6 it'll downgrade it to 3.9 irreversibly

IF you use ZiPhone and did Do it all, than put in your T-Mobile sim and you should be good to go. If it doesnt work, then post back with what youve done.

It doesn't sound as if you've unlocked successfully with ZiPhone. Luckily this is a good thing as you can use iPlus now. There's a guide on the main page you really can't miss it
