i have looked all over the net and cant get a straight anwser if i punch the serial number into ebay it says its a 2g but some people say only 2g's have completly back covers mine does not its grey with a black bottom the model number is ma712ll and it is jail broke to 2.2 but according to this youtube video [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qDDEN3zfQOg]YouTube - How To Jailbreak NEW 3.0 Firmware For iPhone,iPhone 3G,iPod Touch 1st & 2nd Gen On Windows/Mac[/ame] for me to jail break i have to select the right firm ware ect... Its a 2G. The 3G has a solid black or white back cover
