4GB iPhone, why was it discontinued?

I've read in places that the 4GB iPhone was discontinued a little while after it came out, does anyone know why?

Cause they had an 8gigger and then came out with the 16gigger.

Apple doesnt wanna carry more than 2 models of the iphone at once, so the smaller size kinda got pushed out.

Also, they werent selling well compared to the higher models.

People got tired of having to daisy chain 4gb iPhones together to watch a movie.
