I hope so, I would love to buy a new iPhone

But the 3G[s] follows Apple's product release mentality. Never give the public too many upgrades at once when they can release another one shortly after and pay again.
Those photos could have been from early concepts of the 3G[s] and they decided to scrap those features to save money, they could be just fakes that no one bothered debunking, or they could be from another phone to be released in 6 months. I think its possible that they could release another iPhone around the time that the new iPod drops. They will need to add more features to the iPhone to blur the lines between it and the iPod, especially if the iPod 3rdGen will have a camera like rumored.

Just yesterday I talked to my partner about why I wasn't bothered about the 3GS; I have a 3G with 8 months O2 contract left to run so an upgrade would be >£££. I told her I'd rather nurse this one until next June when Steve Jobs is fit enough to announce the 4G. Seems I'm not the only one who buys at revolution stage not evolution!
1G(touch)->2G bad
2G->3G good
3G->3GS bad
Doesn't always skip a generation: Newton 2100 was the best tablet and v2.1 effectively. Beats M$ 3 version rule though!

iPhone 2G > 3G = evolution
iPhone 2G > 3GS = revolution, lol.
The 2G and 3G are the same phone when it comes to the elecronics and the OS. Ok the 3G has the "3G" capability but the ram and processor can't keep up with the data flow so it chokes.

i just think that the 3g should have not came out so early because the 3gs is what the original 3g should of been not just more memory and a plastic back. the 3gs is a good phone but i think that they should of just held off until att became 4g because they would got a giant boom in revenue with the 4g than with the 3gs
