Time stamp on recieved text messages wrong

Ok so I have an iphone 2g 3.0 firmware and when I recieve text messages I see that the time is four hours behind the actual time. I have tried resetting all my settings and checking the time zones but im still having the same problem...does anyone know how to fix this? Thanks in advance
