3GS Reception

Is the reception better? Less dropped calls, ect?
I dont know if all the new goodies would allow better service?

my signal strength is excellent. same as the regular 3G, ive noticed overall improvements during my calls but my 3G area is really great w/ no problems. YMMV but 3GS is definately worth the money

Reception seems great to me! I had the 3G and it used to lose service randomly, from 5 bars to 0 bars. I drove to Cincinnati about an hour and a half away from my house yesterday with my 3GS and I never lost service. Didn't even go under 3 or 4 bars. Maybe they improved the antenna somehow. I'm happy with it. :-)

I have to say - my 3GS is no where near my 2G. Sitting in my house I am lucky to get one bar where as on my old phone I would have almost full signal. At my office same thing - sometimes no bars even! Called ATT they gave me a new SIM card but same results. I am about to call them and see what to do next.

Edit: I have been using the mophie case/battery with my 3GS - as soon as I took it out of that restarted my phone now I have service back - hmmm. Doing more testing now.

I remember reading somewhere that the 3GS has 2 plugs for 2 antennas... but only one is being used.. Maybe someone can figure out a way to install an extra antenna to get better signal? hehehe...
