fair market value for used 8gig 3g now?

ok so i'm looking into getting my gf an 8 gig 3g iphone...but i wanted opinions on what a fair market value of this phone would be around now, especially with the release of the new 3gs? and correct me if i'm wrong but now the 3.0 is out and an unlock supposively on its way to i dont need to worry about what "bootloader" number or "baseband" the used iphone has, cause since we both use tmobile i will need to unlock it for her to use...so i'm guessing if i update it to 3.0 (if it's not already) i should be good to go right? thanks guys

Honest truth here for you. I sold a 2g 16gb iphone last week for 280 on craigs list in denver. he was a tmobile customer so i guess that is why he bought it.

I got 350 for mine 16 gig. I think if you're in a populated market, you could probably get 300 for an 8 gig.
