Default Help With Restoring Deleted Contacts

So I talked my wife into getting an iPhone for herself.
I set it up, synced it, updated the firmware, synced it again.

Plugged mine in, updated firmware, synced it.

REALIZED that I lost 332 contacts in that one click of a mouse!!!!

ANYBODY have any Ideas as to where I can revive a list of my contacts from?

I am a PC user, also have a MAC if need be.
    I sync to outlook 2003
    I have a 3g with 3.0 installed

PLEASE tell me there is somewhere I can go with this other than the insane asylum......

    Thanks in advance,
    -Jesse

can't you just sync and set up as a backup that you did before the upgrade?
Or go to settings/mail,contacts and import SIM contacts.

if you previously synced them with windows contacts they should've been in /user/contacts folder as vcards

there should be an option to chose which backup, itunes usually makes new ones weekly, you may lose some data but only since you synced
