upgrade to 3.0 from 1.1.4 or no?

I've been using firmware 1.1.4 for awhile now and I'm debating to upgrade to 3.0. I really want to upgrade mainly because of the MMS feature that will be added late summer.

I changed my slider, keyboard, AT&T icon, etc since my phones jailbroken, will I lose that? I'm worried that since it's such a huge firmware upgrade that it'll clear my contacts or have me lose some of my data. Does anyone know if it will? If so, what will I lose? Or should I just not upgrade to 3.0 and stick with 1.1.4?

YES! You should have upgraded to 2.0 last July o.o If you restore to backup you should not lose anything except jailbroken stuff.

Since you were on 1.1.4, I would assume you have the 2G iphone, and according to Apple, MMS wont work on the 2G. But really..... where have you been? you have missed out on all the App Store/Cydia fun.

You will lose your Jailbroken mods.... but you are probably still using Summerboard..... when you upgrade you will get Winterboard which is far more powerful.

As far as your contacts are concerned, Sync them with windows contacts in iTunes and you can easily put them back on your phone.
