Apple geeks know it's the new/high end version? I have a black 16 GB 3G now and whenever I upgrade I believe I'm switching to the white version.

I have had a Black 8GB 3G for almost a year now. I am trying a white 32GB this time

I am going from the 1st gen to a white 32 gig and my main reason is because i feel like the black one will highlight small scratches much more than the white, even though I also purchased a kick *** case for my new one. my friend has a black one and you can def see every little nick on it

It would be cool if the front of the phone was white as well, since it it isn't it looks a little off to me.

Zomg here we go again. Black or white. I remember in 2008 from july to november every month I would go back to Apple and replace my white iphone becasue of the darn hairline scratches and cracks developing on the ringer switch! Every month damn it! So if Apple hasnt fixed the hairline cracks issue with the previous iphone 3g, good luck with the headaches!

Yeah that is what makes the white iPhone so ugly to me. I would get black anyway, but when there is a black front and a white back, it just isnt right...

white 32gb 3gs will be my next purchase. i held off on the 3g and glad i did, 16gb is not enough for my taste.

I know, right? When I first saw the white one, I was like WTF?! lol I'll always get black, though.

I won't be upgrading until I can get the full subsidized price (and I'm okay with that). When I do, I'll be getting the white one. I was going back and forth when I bought my 3G and decided on black. Regretted it a little since.

Yeah...NEW/HIGH END. The low end version is the 8GB model.
