new iphone firmware question

Hello all,
I just bought a refurb iPhone today, should be getting it next week.. anyways. I am wondering if it will come with the original firmware, and if it does will i be able to only update it to 1.0.2 assuming the new 1.1.1 is out by then? Thanks

it might come with the newest firmware dunno you'll have to let us know. But either way yes you will be able to upgrade the firmware when you do get it

you are hearing me wrong. Im am asking if I will only be able to upgrade it to 1.0.2 seeing that we do not know what apple will disable in this new firmware release.

My iTunes just popped up an update for iTunes version 7.4.2. Just wondering if updating to that will mess anything up... I'd hate to lose everything I've modded so far!! Am I safe here?
