aight I am new to the iphone world so if this has been discussed I am sorry. Please forgive me.. When I upgraded to 3.0 everyting went smooth. Only thing is I lost all my music. Not a biggie since I only had like 3 albums in it.

Thing is what can I do so in the future this doesn't happen to me? I know there has to be something I can do not to lose the tunes.. Should I have made a back up first? I didn't by the way! All I did before was sync my phone when it came back all my apps, contacts, etc was there but not the tunes..

I was thinking about this. Is this happening because I have my settings on itunes as Manage music manually, and on the device settings for the iphone under the Music tab, Sync music is not selected?
