On my iPod Touch the percentage battery was showing automatically after installing 3.0, I guess it's a feature of 3.0.

I got the battery percentage on my iPod Touch 2g by when I restored to 3.0 gm I was already on 2.2.1 jailbroken with the battery percentage already enabled with sbsettings then when it finished restoring I restored from backup and since the backup had numeric battery enabled, I was able to get the battery percentage like the screen shot shows. Hope that helped if the other posts didn't.

lol oh that does explain why i can not have the battery percentage on 3.0 GM. A mate of mine has the percentage, yet on my iPhone with 3.0 GM installed, there was no percentage :S.
