Help...Accessory not compatible nightmare

Hello all.
This is going to drive me crazy..Both my kids are having the same problem. The plugged in their iphone into a JBL Sound Dock and after they removed it they keep getting the message "This accessory is not compatible with iphone". It pops up constantly. The battery dies within hours and I can't make it go away. I have cleaned everything , tried to restore, put headphones in and out and nothing works. Both phone are 1 Gen and unlocked and jailbroke with firmware 2.2.1. Please help

Having the same problem on a jb unlocked 3GS, & it's still there after a full restore.

I had this problem... Mine turned out to be severe water damage. I had gotten it off craigslist! I heard that some accesories with cheap docks can mess up the pins on the dock connector. However, you have battery problems as well? Contact one1, he's a regular good dude who might be able to help you!
