I have a question about my mac
If I bought another mac could I copy all the data on my first mac and put it on the new one?
Because I have a lot of stuff on my mac that that I would hate to have to get it all again
Like I could copy photoshop to the other mac
I really don't want to pay like another $900 or however much it cost
I'm not sure if this is in the right section but I couldn't find a good section for this

Firewire
Just get a fire wire 800 to 400 cable and boot it up holding down "T".
I think you can also use a ethernet cable.

Have you ever tried this?
If so is it easy

Try a different blank disk. disks are cheap and sometimes you get a bad one.
connecting through wifi is easy, but a little slow.

should be no problem.
I got a new computer last year and forgot to copy photoshop and a bunch of other apps. Then I remembered 8 months later that I had my time machine running on that old computer, so I plugged it into my new one and restored photoshop and all other apps, mail boxes, website back ups. having no problems with them.

no worries, its just a disk. my point was you can copy it from one machine to another. its your app your not stealing it or selling it, just upgrading computers.

You really helped
So I think I'm gonna go with the wifi transfer thing
But I won't have to do the serial code thing again?
Because I lost them

well now you might, but you could contact adobe and tell them your moving the app form one machine to another (not making a copy) and need the code or google it to find one

You could also use the Migration Assistant, located in the Utilities folder. This is a built-in app to do exactly what you want to do between two Mac computers.
The program will take you through the process, and should do the trick for you.
