Email & push question

I just got a new 3g iPhone the other day and I have push turned off and email is set to check manually also I have no hacks on this phone yet but I have noticed that my emails are pushing through I was wondering if anyone else is experiencing this any info would be great maybe 3.0 is closer than we think!!!

What email provider are you using? Unless you are using an exchange server email then nothing is getting "Pushed"... you phone is fetching the emails.

i am using gmail if my setting are all on manual how am i getting them? i had my wife send me an email a few minutes ago and i received it without opening my mail app???
