iPhone sending information to APPLE without you knowing?

Hi there,
Recently I just seeing my ADSL light foing crazy. When I see which device is doing that its my iPhone.
When I go look into the ifone with SysInfo at the TCP ... I see that Establisched Connection with 17.254.32.16 Hostname wu.apple.om

WTF is that?? Can some one tell me? Apple is keeping track of his iPhones or is it sending info of how or what the hell? Some info is being send to Apple...

Any one else seen this? And it`s is like it has some interval also. Like every Hour or something..I dont know.

1. Is your iPhone plugged into your computer when this is happening?

2. 2G or 3G iPhone and which firmware?

you sure it aint fetching lol. it alway has the right date, time, everything. you think its just smart on its own? internet fetching is required for the phone to do its deeds
