    Default loading wheel on icons?

    Hey guys... I just opened Cydia for the first time in about a month and saw that I had 9 updates... I updated all and rebooted my phone and now I have the loading wheel on my phone and email icons... although it doesn't actually spin... it was on the safari icon but after i rebooted it was gone, but it's still on the other two.

    I'm sure the easy solution would be to uninstall what I installed right before this happened but I don't know what I installed... I just updated without looking to see what was going to be updated...

    Does anyone know what causes this or how to fix it?

    Thanks =)

    It comes from the app "backgrounder" I believe the name is.
    I have read in other threads that if you go into the app via WinScp (windows) or Diskaid (If your on a Mac) you can delete this badge and make it all go away..
    Search is your friend........................O.o

    yup that's correct. it's the new feature for backgrounder so you can see which apps have it activated

    actually i did search first... first i searched google and when that didn't yield any results, i specifically searched this forum. regardless, i uninstalled backgrounder since i don't use it anyway and that solved the problem. thanks for the help.

    ^If you did have a need for backgrounder but hated the little symbols, you could SSH into the app folder and delete badge.png, which would get rid of them.

    You dont have to uninstall it, you can ssh and remove the badges or supposedly there is a option to turn them off in the newest release

    According to what I have read on the forum there was an Backrounder update today that allowed you to deactivate the badge.

    Thanks everyone for the input. I uninstalled it because I never use it. I don't even remember why I had it installed in the first place.

    I wish he would just set it so it wouldn't run on stock apps that run in the background. Only ones activated by backgrounder

    @SB - there is a bug list and feature request page, have you suggested it to the author?
