Itunes back up to disc option

Hi,

I have a question regarding Itunes Back up to disc. If you back up to a disc does Itunes back up everything or just music? Suppose my PC has some problem and I have to format and install windows all over again. After restoring from the cd will Itunes have my iphone back up such as text messages, settings and stuff or? If anyone has an idea please suggest. Thank you..

I think it just backs up purchases.

I'm pretty sure it will back up everything in your itunes music folder, which includes apps and podcasts.

Although I wouldn't trust itunes backup with a Staind fan's collection
