Thinking of buying an iphone, quick question

I am thinking of buying an iphone off of ebay and ive seen that a lot of them come with apps already installed my question is, if i sync the iphone with my computer will it erase all those apps?

the apps will be deleted only if u sync the applications. But songs, ringtones, and movies will be erased. and welcome to the forum

So if i end up buying apps later on and want to put them on the phone it will delete all of the older apps from the original owner?

Yes. They would be gone after syncing your own

it syncs the iPhone's iTunes account to the computer's matching iTunes account. So if there is stuff on the iPhone form a different iTunes account, it will be deleted. Well unless the owner of the stuff authorizes your computer. Then i it would stay.
