Default How much can i get a broken 1st gen iPhone for?

8gb. It works just fine but the screen is cracked - but since it's a 1st gen I know you have to replace like 3 different pieces rather than just the glass like the iPhone 3G. So anyways, how much do you think I should sell this for/anyone interested?

The iphone 1g, broken is like a paper weight, Iphone 3gs can sell almost unused for $99 (att website, refurbished iphones), this is a 1g so it would be like $50 but its broken so more like $30-20

ill buy it for the hell of it, maybe i can get some parts

    20 bucks is my bid

It will cost about $150 for the parts to repair, so unless you want spares I would probably not bother.

Put it up on ebay and you will be surprised at how much you can get for it.
If you can, restore it using iTunes to firmware 2.2.1 and then jailbrake AND unlock it. Selling it jailbroken and unlocked will get you more money. Make sure you include good, clear pictures of it and if you can throw in a few accessories, like silicone covers, power adapters.... etc. that will help it sell also.

I have a friend that recently sold his 8GB 2G on ebay for $200 and it didn't even work.

Make sure you put it up on ebay for a minimum of 7 days.

Hope that helps a little. Good luck.

IF you can or want to sign a 2year contract. Which is a "no" for alot of people.

Same reason all the other iphones go for sooo much on ebay.

Simplest way is to chuck it up on eBay and see what you get!

I misunderstood the question, I thought you meant someone had one and you wanted to know how much to offer for it, hence my previous reply.

The easiest way to find out how much you can sell it for is to sell it!
