ipod video question...plz help
i have a 30gb ipod video i also have w/ 5000 songs and a bunch of movies. My friend put it all on for me and he used some kinda software that installed everything without using itunes, so he installed it from his personal music library. If i hook it to itunes, i will lose all the data and i dfont wanna do that. I wanna put it all on my computer so i can keep the music, and then restore the ipod, and install all the movies i have on itunes for my 3 yr old daughter to watch her movies, that way i dont have to fill up her 8gb itouch w/ movies. there are alot of smart peeps on here that know how to get this done for me, so plz help me out.

wrong forum! This is about iphones/itouches.
I'll give it a try anyways: Get a free program named 'media monkey'. Then just access the ipod move everything to ur computer then into itunes and then sync
Three questions:
-Why does a 3yr old have an ipod?
-you know that ur friend got those songs illegally and you have about 5-7k of illegal 'stolen' intellectual property.
-Peeps? really, who the hell says that????

well, thx for the help, but you are somewhat mistaken.
1st, they arent stolen songs, but just from his itunes music library, and they will erase if i hook it to my itunes.
2nd i bought my 3 yr old daughter an ipod touch because she liked playing the hundreds of kids games, watching her movies, and listening to her kids music on my iphone sooo much that i got her own itouch to play w/ instead of my and my wifes iphones.
is there a problem with that???????
she plays on the computer, has her own learning computer, and plays vid games as well, and she's so smart and i trust her so much that i always let her take my iphone for hours on end.
anyway, thx for the help, but worry about yourself, and not what i buy my kids.
last, is it that weird to ask an ipod question on a forum with iphone and itouch members? plz****CHECK OUT MY PHOTO ALBUM WITH MY HAYABUSA, CARS, AND WIFE**************

oh, ok sorry didn't mean to start anything, it just seems weird how kids these days get electronics at a young age. isnt that supposed be bad for kids. I am dependent on my iphone but i could live without it but im sure if i grew up us a toddler with one, things would be a different. I think electronics should be for older kids no matter how smart they are and getting a 3yr old an itouch is kinda spoiling her.
Sorry i just had to say that
also, i highly doubt you friend actually spent 5k on music, and if he is using a itunes supplement it means he must be smart enough to find a way to get those songs.
also well we have a different selection for not ipods (if we dont it should be in 'other')
