swapping new iphone headset for old ipod earphones

I lost my iphone headset but have like 3 latest generation ipod earphones laying around. does anyone know if they would notice if i make a claim online for iphone headset, and return the ipod earphones instead? i imagine they get tons of old headsets a day and im pretty sure they dont refurbish headsets or earphones.

nope they (apple, att) dont even take the ear phones most of the time (other people ears, kinda icky)

But i dont get what u wanna do? U lost ur phone and u have headsets at home, how is that gonna get you another iphone? from a claim (to whom) online.
