So does anyone know how
else we can edit our strings on the iphone, since customize doesn't freaking work?

I want to change where it says slide to unlock, and a few other strings
Does anyone know if there is another program or app, or whatever other than customize? Man, I really liked customize, and doesn't even work anymore
Well, if anyone know what else I can use, or how the heck i can make my customize work, please let me know, I would really appreciate it!Stay Sexy, Sweet, and Wonderful!

you don't need customize to do this, its not to hard to do it manually
.
you need to locate the springboard.strings file on your iPhone, but lucky ill attatch one to save you doing that,
open the .zip file and extract it.
then click on this link, Hack That Phone - SpringBoard.Strings
scroll down til you see Step 2
this step shows you how to edit the "slide to unlock" title etc, and then also how to put it back on your phone!
note: to edit the strings file, just right click, and open with notepad.
once you have finished editing your file, put the springboard.strings in this location (via SSH),
themename.theme/Bundles/com.apple.springboard/en.lproj

I haven't tried it on my 3g, I don't even have Customize on mine.
I did this for my Dad on his 2g. He wanted a quick method to kinda do this on the run and it works.
I have always used the method that you described above and that works flawlessly.
