Question on iPhone ??

OK, im going to brazil for 2 months and because im there, i was thinking on selling my iphone 3g for a nice price (over there), and buying a the new iphone that will be released in June when i come back, im just wondering, if i sell my phone there, will i still be able to purchase the new one when i come back or will ATT not let me, because i plan on unlocking the iphone and selling it to a relative in brazil,

Are there any risks to this, or problems that i could have with apple/att ??

This past time they allowed owners of the original iPhone to buy the 3G with out any problems. So I would think they will do the same thing.
