Phone goes into safe mode when plugged into wall charger?

Hello.

So recently when I plug my iPhone (2G 8gb) into the wall charger in the morning (so its off and will automatically turn on) when it starts up it starts up in safe mode.

Sure all I have to do is restart it, so its a mild inconvenience but I'd like to fix this.

Also when I restart it the icons are always rearranged.

Again its mainly just annoying but I want to fix it.

And its a Griffin wall charger.

What apps do you have installed? Some apps have this feature enabled so your phone wont crash completely...
